The Color of Water by James McBride
(finished on 1.30.2012)Great and inspirational book.
I don’t like writing reviews since there are people like me who purely judge books by its reviews.
But if I had to talk a bit about the book, I would definitely point out the fact that James McBride did a perfect job illustrating his mother’s life to its full extent.
I did, however, feel like his mother had some other secrets that she may not wanted the world to know. Nevertheless, the book was fascinating and inspirational.
My respect towards women was always there, but this book took it to a different level.
The book also treats racial problems, hence the title ‘the color of water’.
Unfortunately for me, as a yellow-toned person, I did not get the opportunity to connect with the author fully. But I did somehow connect with his thoughts and emotions.
After all, the author was skinny, tall and had a big head… just like me.
playoffs is all i watch now.
